What We Collect
Fig collects the following data to provide your music taste experience:
- Apple Music Library Data — song names, artists, albums, genres, and play counts from your Apple Music library. This data stays on your device unless you choose to create a public profile.
- Listening Activity — songs you listen to while the app is open, stored locally on your device.
- Ratings — albums and songs you rate within the app.
- Profile Information — display name, username, and optional avatar if you sign in.
How We Use It
- To generate your music personality, taste stats, and visualizations
- To power social features like taste compatibility and friend discovery
- To provide your public profile page on myfig.fm
What We Don't Do
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We don't serve ads or share data with advertisers
- We don't track you across other apps or websites
Data Storage
Your music library data and listening history are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you create an account, your profile, ratings, and social data are stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS).
Third-Party Services
- Apple Music / MusicKit — to access your library and listening data
- Supabase — for authentication, profile storage, and social features
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — for account creation
Your Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. This permanently removes your profile, ratings, social connections, and all server-side data.
